IMPORTANT SHIT SEPTEMBER

Hello students!

At last, Skitviktigt is back after a short break! We at Kristianstad Student Union warmly welcome both new and returning students to Kristianstad University and hope you will have a fantastic study period this autumn!

During July and August, Skitviktigt took a short break. In July, the majority of students were not on campus, and in August, the student union focused mainly on planning and preparing for the Kick Off, which took place September 4–13. Students also did not return to campus until the end of August.

About Kristianstad Student Union: Within the Executive Committee (AU), four people work at the office in addition to our staff employed by the union:

Daniel Matancic is President and has previously studied IT and Economics at HKR. He is our health and safety representative and serves as a student representative in most of the university’s steering groups, such as Student’s Digital Journey and COLOURS.

Nelly Sandell is Vice President and has previously studied to become a preschool teacher at HKR. She is responsible for graphic design (website, Skitviktigt) and participates in project groups such as Studentstaden Kristianstad and Student’s Digital Journey.

Elin Finnman is Student Proxy and is studying to become a primary school teacher (grades F–3). She is your contact if you have student rights issues—for example, if a lecturer treats you unfairly, or if you have not received results from an exam or assignment within 15 days.

Elin Svensson is Student Social Coordinator and is studying to become a primary school teacher (grades 4–6). She manages our social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and organizes our events, such as go-karting and spa visits.

We also have a member, Rebecca Blixto who´s working at COLOURS as a student representative and a link between Kristiasntad Student Union and COLOURS.

The Student Union also has a Social Committee called SEXMÄSTERIET. It is led by a President and Vice President, who both participate in the student union’s board meetings. The committee also consists of Mästare and Sexare, each with different areas of responsibility. They organize events that enrich student life in Kristianstad, such as:

• Pub crawls

• Sittings

• Parties

• Rallekväm (sewing patches onto your student overalls)

In addition to us, there are also two other student associations: Cefyrekon and HKIF. During the autumn semester, both associations will organize events, so make sure to check out their Instagrams, which are the same as their names.

Throughout autumn and winter, Skitviktigt will continue to update you on what Kristianstad Student Union and the Executive Committee are working on.
