IMPORTANT SHIT! DECEMBER

Hello dear readers!

We hope the semester has continued to treat you well. Here at the Kristianstad Student Union, we would of course like to welcome you to the final month of the year!

What has been happening:

The first and biggest thing that has taken place is that the Kristianstad Student Union 2025 has continued its handover process to the upcoming board.

The entire Executive Committee was invited to HKR’s Goose Dinner, which was held for the second year in a row. Representatives from Högskolan Kristianstad as well as members of the local business community in Kristianstad were in attendance. It was both exciting and rewarding to take part and collaborate with so many different people.

On December 3, our Student Social Coordinator organised a bowling night where participants also had the chance to win a prize. The following day, on December 4, our Sexmästeri (Social Committee) hosted a game night at O’Learys, where students could take part in a shuffleboard tournament. Once again, the winners were rewarded with prizes.

On December 6, the Kristianstad Student Union participated together with HKR and Kristianstad Municipality in Kristianstad City’s Musikhjälpen at Lilla Torg. Visitors had the opportunity to take part in a raffle and buy traditional Swedish saffron buns – delicious! In addition to this, the Student Union board has continued its regular work of representing students and ensuring student influence at HKR.

That same weekend, while Musikhjälpen was taking place, our Vice President and Student Social Coordinator travelled to Sundsvall to attend SamS’s Annual General Meeting. Almost all student unions that are members of SamS gathered to review the organisation’s governing documents and discuss submitted motions. One of the motions, for example, proposed by the Student Union in Sundsvall, suggested updating the SamS logo – a proposal that was approved during the meeting. During the AGM, new coordinators were also elected to support student unions during meetings and at SFSFUM.
